There are certain genres that can sometimes go overlooked if they aren’t a style we particularly enjoy listening to or didn’t exist in the culture during our formative years. Genres like bebop jazz, classical, latin funk, and various other sub-genres can slip under the radar and as a result, we may miss some fundamentals that can apply to our own guitar playing, no matter what kind of music we like to hear most.
